Have you ever gotten to that point where you just can't come up with anymore color combinations or you just don't like any type of hat that pops into your head? Well I was there a couple weeks ago. I was so busy with my Christmas orders and craft shows that I had gotten use to making what my clients wanted and my creativeness fell to the way side. So I took a few days off and as many as times as I looked at my yarn stash I just couldn't come up with anything I LOVED until I recieved a gift.
Yes it is a 4 pack of wash clothes but I absolutely love the colors! I couldn't wait to come home and make something in that combination. I was even in luck! I had almost the same colors, so I came up with an infinity scarf.
So the point is:
1) Never allow yourself to become discouraged, if you need a break take a break!
2) Never come down on yourself for not having "good" ideas. I have had to learn that I may not like the same things as someone else and that's ok.
3) Look for inspiration in EVERYTHING! Whether its a pack of wash clothes, or even a few towels that are thrown in the dirty laundry.
4) If all else fails pull out your favorite outfit or jacket and make something to match.
What is the strangest thing you found inspiration in?
